Use Granulated Single Super Phosphate for Healty Crop

Granulated Single Super Phosphate or GSSP Fertilizer is one of the most used and simplest form of fertiliser used across the globe. SSP powder is rolled in drums to form granules usually 1 - 5mm dia. The Granulated Single Super Phosphate, GSSP Fertilizer, desolves slowly in water.

GSSP Details, As per FCO-1985

Granulated Single Super Phosphate is a multi Nutrient Phosphoric Chemical Fertiliser which can be applied to all crops on all soil types. It is usually applied at the time of sowing crop or transplantation of crop and is more effective and useful in long duration crops like Sugarcane, Wheat & Paddy.

Frequently Asked Questions about GSSP

Although the chemical content in both Powdered SSP and Granulated SSP is same, but both have their own advantages, and are suitable for different crop types.
The Powder desolves immediately in water and is quickly available to crops, while Granulated SSP takes more time to desolve in water and is available to crops for longer duration.

There are many natural sources of phosphorous. Banana Peels, Bone meals and rock phosphate. Various organic as well as synthetic blends are available to add phosphorous into soil.  Mineral phosphorus sources are cheaper and last longer in the soil.

The making of GSSP is very similar to making Powdered  SSP
  • Grinding of Phosphate rich rocks to get the right grain size
  • Mixing the Phosphate rock grains with sulphur & water in a measured quantity
  • Roll the mixture in drums to make Grains of fertiliser.
  • Filter the fertilizer from seive to get 1 - 5 mm dia grains.
